dehydrator1.  L’equip 528 Dehydrator- computer controlled with 6 trays, complete with a 12 year warranty $139.99

Hurrah! Veg.ca has an excellent lists of Living Foods preparation resources catering to Canadians! I was in search for a good dehydrator and was disappointed that the dehydrators on Amazon.com did not ship to Canada and the only one I saw was an unappealing one at Walmart. Now I have so many retailers to choose from!

I would love to get a dehydrator and make raw pizza, bread and cookies but the good ones like Excalibar are really pricey. My current blender is a humble 500 Watt CuisineArt. It does a 90% job of tough blending. I find myself having to pour our the mixture and use a chopping board to cut up pieces more finely, which kinda sucks.

My Wish List (I try to make realistic choices that I consider affordable):

1. L’equip 528 Dehydrator- computer controlled with 6 trays, complete with a 12 year warranty $139.99

blender2. BlendTec HP3 is a powerful home blender with 25 different cycle options. $399.99

aerogrowth23. AeroGarden SpaceSaver 6 Elite, space-saving 6-pod garden and 24-hour light cycle for faster growth even in Winter -$179.99

wheatgrass-sprouter4. Sproutman’s Soil-Free Wheatgrass Grower soil-free sprouter that sprouts Wheatgrass in 10 days (3 trays) -$89.95

newjuicer5. Healthy Juicer - Manual Hand Powered Wheatgrass Juicer- $44.95

ice-cream-maker6.  Deni 5200 ice cream maker, to make ice cream faster and smoother- $59.99

I am definitely going to get a dehydrator for myself and an ice cream maker for my bf’s family, but the rest, we shall see.

Being raw needs a lot of good cutting equipment and I would expect a raw foodist kitchen to be filled with all sorts of marvelous uncooking instruments.

I am wavering on my diet right now, as much as I want to go out all raw, having recently discovered a new Cantonese style Buddhist Vegetarian place that serves HUGE portions of food for $6-7 ( people literally take canisters with them to pack the food home) which can last me 4 meals- I am thinking about going back to my semi-raw roots again. I need more will power.
