My Favourite Smoothie & Raw Update
This is my favourite breakfast smoothie thus far, a variation from Dr. Graham’s 80/10/10:
Sweet-Tart Delight
3 Extremely Sweet Navel Oranges
2 Ripe Alphonso Mangoes
6-7 Strawberries
Blend, blend, blend!
This is like the yummiest concoction I’ve ever tasted in my life. Deliriously sweet and satisfying.
I am going 100% Raw since it’s summer. I will start on 18th of May and plan to do it all the way till 3rd of July where I will be flying on the plane. Since it is weird to request for a raw meal, I ordered airline vegan fare instead. So I will be breaking fast in the air. Whoopeee!

Things I like about being Raw:
1. Compassionate.
2. Most environmentally friendly. The greenest way to live in fact, minus all that packaging and cooking. And I still don’t own a dehydrator @_@
3. Seriously yummy- I am a fruit addict now and not to mention all the lovely RAW PIES and cakes you can eat without killing yourself later trying to sweat it off.
4. Healthy Stuff. All unprocessed and good for you.
5. How it is so fast and easy to make a pie! Just blend, mold, blend and pour. No staring down at the oven impatiently waiting for the pie to be done.
Things I don’t like about being Raw:
1. How Asian comfort food still has a hold on me.
2. Worried looks from friends and family.
3. Worried friends and family making a fuss.
4. How people think you might have an eating disorder or just plain crazy for giving up cooked foods.
5. It’s expensive. Eating vast amounts of fruits and nuts in place of former cheaper staples like rice and noodles is making me poorer (but I guess it’s a health trade-off, if I don’t overeat on nuts that is).
I’ve lost 6 kg since I went high raw (even though that wasn’t my priority) and my skin stopped erupting like volcanic valleys on PMS so I guess I still owe it to Mother Nature.
