Flower Tea on Mothers’ Day

Here’s the Today’s Mothers’ Day! Hearts to all mothers out there! (as well as to everyone playing the role of mom)
Of all the significant memorial days, Mothers’ Day holds the most meaning to me. 9 months of labourĀ must be the hardest thing to endure, not to mention all the labour and love that go towards rising a child from birth to adulthood. All mothers’ rock! Hail all mamas! All Mothers’ Banzai!!!
A pretty, petite Chinese waitress handed a nice handmade flower today with an opium-like bulb at King’s Cafe saying to me,”Happy Mothers’ Day!”. I chuckled and accepted it even though I’m not a mom. The center of the rose is a tea bulb that blossoms into a lovely flower in hot water. It was refreshing. I had a refill after the first round.

I dedicate it to you Mommy. Happy Mothers’ Day! I love you!
