thegang1Anyone with UTI knows what a pain this illness is. You lose control over your bladder muscles and you trickle pee instead of having a nice waterfall flush. It is even worse if it isn’t you having the UTI, (we actually don’t mind our own pee that much) but someone else’s. Like your CAT. What a pain in the urethra. Ever tried giving meds to your cat? It’s like asking your relatives to lend you money. They will be reluctant at first but then you gag them into submission.  Did I say gag? Er.. I mean beg.

Here’s a list of top 5 sneaky ways to treat your cat’s UTI without even him knowing it.

1. Greenies’ Pill Pockets.

Just slip the antibiotic pill into these little neaties. Didn’t your cat just gobbled up his meds like it was a treat? Makers of Greenies odd to be nominated for a Nobel Prize.

2. Nutri-Vet’s Uri-Ease Tuna Treats.

Omg, this is just too sneaky. Reward the ignorant kitty.

3. Nutri-Vet Uri-Ease Paw Gel for Cats.

Rub some of this Salmon flavoured gel into his grubby little paws and watch him lap up his UTI support. *wicked laugh with evil glee*

4. Purina’s Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health Formula in Chicken Entree.

This may be Mr. P’s all time favourite food so far. No kidding!

5. Dope its food with cranberry powder or diluted apple cider vinegar.

#5 must be practiced in caution. Too concentrated a mixture will turn kitty off. Kitty may sniffle as it eats and then decided it wasn’t to its taste after all. Do not starve an overweight kitty.

Here’s Mr. P’s update:

Vet said his kidney and bladder are working fine. He is not diabetic (thank goodness), just having a bout of UTI. However, he noticed from previous records that Mr. P has lost 2 kg over the span of 4 months. He suspects that it may be cancer.

Oh no, not the cancer scare! I say it’s because he changed from a kibble diet to a wet food one. Minus all the flour and starch fillers, you’ll get a slimmer cat.

Cat has to go for catscans.
